How to Design a Small Bedroom in a Smart Way

The bedroom is a comfortable space at home where we spend most of our time. This is why the bedroom should look both inviting and comfy- a space where we would want to unwind and relax. However, not all bedrooms have large space that can accommodate a bean bag, a walk-in closet, and a king-sized bed. Nevertheless, it doesn’t give a red signal to compromise with the bedroom design. There is a lot you can do to make your bedroom look nice, feel comfortable, and leave enough moving space. Here’s all that you can do.

Make it all white

One of the best things to do while designing a small bedroom is choosing to go all-white. The color White has the power to create an illusion that space is bigger than what it is. This also suggests, choosing darker shades would make the room cluttered as compared to white. Also, painting the room white would cost less. Besides the walls, make sure the curtains, bedsheet, pillows, and the rest of the furniture are also light colored.  Colors like beige, the lightest shade of orange, faint yellow, or light brown should be perfect for the furniture and the rest of the pieces in your room.

Decorate the ceiling

This is one element that is overlooked by most people. Most of us would leave the ceiling white, and that is pretty much the end of it. But, for a small bedroom getting a bit of designing done for the ceiling will help you create the illusion of a bigger room. If you are yet to design the entire house, it would be a better idea to have a sloping ceiling. Stickers, like polka dotted-patterns on the ceiling, would make the room appear bigger.

Under the bed- storage

Instead of using a large number of small and large furniture in the room for storage, you can use up the space below your bed for the purpose of storage. For this, you can get a bed that already has drawers and storage space, or get a storage space that is built in the bed that you already have. This space is best for keeping sheets, blankets, curtains, books, and other things, that would otherwise demand much space and create clutter.

Table with Cabinets

We all need a table or desk to keep stuff, study, or work. While a table can take some space in a room, this space can’t be compromised with how essential having a desk is. However, when you have a desk or table with multiple drawers, you can store a lot of things in it. You would have various drawers for makeup supplies, stationery, lingerie, accessories, and much more.
